But then, on the other hand, I've definitely been perked up by the amusement I find in the sheer number of people on my f-list who have caved to the fabric.com silk taffeta sale! I'm pretty sure that the LJ costuming community is responsible for practically single-handedly cleaning out a thousand yards (or however many yards they started out with!) of silk taffeta, and that makes me giggle. We should start a community to show off what we all make with it, haha. (You know, like I had a reason for buying it. No self-control at all, people.) I bet such a community would have quite a few members...

It would be interesting to see all of the different things people make out of a very limited selection of colors.

I think it would, too! Maybe I will make such a community, though I'd feel seriously lame if nobody joined...hah.
