But then, on the other hand, I've definitely been perked up by the amusement I find in the sheer number of people on my f-list who have caved to the fabric.com silk taffeta sale! I'm pretty sure that the LJ costuming community is responsible for practically single-handedly cleaning out a thousand yards (or however many yards they started out with!) of silk taffeta, and that makes me giggle. We should start a community to show off what we all make with it, haha. (You know, like I had a reason for buying it. No self-control at all, people.) I bet such a community would have quite a few members...

A community of fabric.com purchases would be fun. I'm already looking forward to seeing what everyone makes out of "my" fabric. :>

I'm looking forward to it, too - and maybe seeing what other people make will give me ideas about what to actually make with the taffeta I bought...I just couldn't resist such cheap silk taffeta!

Hmmm, maybe I should think about starting such a community! :D

Of course it probably helps that, at this point, with the sale ending tomorrow, that there's only brown taffeta left. Less of a temptation. Unless you're in the market for brown silk taffeta...WOW that makes me kind of want some brown taffeta myself actually...I didn't get any of that...*trots off to eyeball brown silk at fabric.com*
