Dubious accomplishments today in the sewing department: cut lots of strips of velveteen for farthingale casings and sewed them together, chalked lines on the farthingale to sew casings on, then re-measured and decided farthingale was in fact too wide. So I sewed a seam down the middle of the fronts and backs and took four inches out of each. Now I feel better about it! (And now I have to go back and flat-fell those.)
