Dubious accomplishments today in the sewing department: cut lots of strips of velveteen for farthingale casings and sewed them together, chalked lines on the farthingale to sew casings on, then re-measured and decided farthingale was in fact too wide. So I sewed a seam down the middle of the fronts and backs and took four inches out of each. Now I feel better about it! (And now I have to go back and flat-fell those.)

I am on a "really exciting sewing" roll...flat felled the two new farthingale seams today. Woo hoo. I need to finish off the smock, so I can start on the kirtle - I don't want to have more than two pieces of this costume going at once, because then I'll start flailing around and losing track of pieces.
