Looking at this from a fashion history point of view, I find it even more fascinating that the house dress is experiencing a resurrection in 2020!

(Also it makes me want to stare real hard at my stash of rayons and novelty cotton prints that would make excellent house dresses,  until they eventually turn themselves into dresses... What do you MEAN, that's not how it works?!)

This is indeed one of the times I wish I ever stashed rayon, lol....it would be very irresponsible of me to BUY some just for this...

You let me know if you wanna look at what I've got! I really like wearing rayon but I hate sewing it...so all the challis I bought in FFC sale like 5 years ago is still sitting around! I could be convinced to part with some of it...

I too have been looking at my short-yardages of novelty cottons and bemoaning the waste if I turned them into generi-blouses.

I have been wearing dresses around the house since maybe April? I dunno, I hit a point where working in my PJs just wasn't working anymore, but I didn't want to wear pants. So dresses it is!

Hear, hear! No shade on anybody who can be an effective worker in their pajamas, but mentally it just doesn't work for me. I did the whole "just make the top half look presentable" thing for the first couple months, but find I feel much more put together if I've thrown on a dress, even if it's a zero effort dress!
