stays: verreh close!

Lining is all stitched in; I just need to make the eyelets for the straps and sew the ends of my lacing into the stays, because that is how I do. (Anything that ensures I can't lose my stay laces is a Good Thing.)

Also I have Had An Idea for something to make for Williamsburg that might light a little more of a fire under my butt. It's an old (planned) project and I bought some fabric lo these many moons ago for it. Except it was two years ago and I honestly cannot remember exactly what I bought, so I shall continue to be vague until I paw through the Stash and see what's what!

I tend to knot one end of the lace to one side of the stays at the top, but sewing is a good idea, too !
And to answer your tag : of course you should make this outfit !

Heh. I think I will! The nice part about the outfit is that all the bits and pieces of it are intended to be interchangeable with the rest of my 18thc bits and pieces anyway, so I can finish as much or as little as I feel inspired to do.
