I haven't done anything remotely productive recently (sewing-wise, of course), and it's starting to bum me out. Need to fix that.
(The day trip to NYC and the Met to meet
drama_wench was fabulous, though: we enjoyed the exhibit enormously [seriously, I saw things I WANT, but we shall see], and after we'd had enough of the Met, sat on its steps and just chatted for almost two hours! Good times. She's got a far better write-up of the day, if anyone's interested [and so I can forever remember the creepy cherubs and Jesus and the two old Jews *giggle*].
And yes, I walked approximately sixty New York blocks in heels that day, mainly because I could. My feet are beasts.)
Ummm. I have cut out about two hundred more squares for then Insane Quilt of Insanity, and sewn some of them together. They are boring. I also threw away the evil Simplicity Dress of Crap (after salvaging its zipper, of course), and today I fixed up the neckline of my 16thc shift. I should really just make a new one, as this shift is actually the first thing I ever sewed, and is kind of on its deathbed...but it was easier to just fix the ripped neckline than to make a whole new one. Because I hate making shifts.
Having lost all focus on all in-progress sewing projects, I shall now wander off in the general direction of my Giant Sewing Heap of Doom! and see if I can start something else I won't finish!
