Today:
Finished sewing boob-holders to corset, which means corset is DONE.

Took a couple of extra-lazy-style tucks in the waistband of the petticoat to make it fit ,and put on a hook & eye. And darned one hole, and gave the whole thing a slapdash iron. Still deciding if I want to take out the tuck that's just above the flounce...it's VERY clearly a "shit this needs to be shorter and a tuck is easier than dicking around with a new waistband " kind of tuck, as it's on the inside, and slightly uneven. (I also discovered that the original maker ran out of narrow lace at the hem with about 3" to go...and she just filled the gap with a different lace that's the same size but obviously different! Lady who made this 120 years ago... I feel you. Let's be friends. ) The length is just a wee bit shorter than is ideal and taking out the tuck would fix that. But...it looks original! But I'm already bastardizing  this petticoat anyway. So...hmm.

Corset cover: done. I highly recommend letting the elves do all th he insertion and tucks for you.  Even if they're elves that insist on using an overlock machine...

And I wore it all around today while working on the various bits; wore the corset for about four hours and nothing exploded, so that's good. There are are a couple stress points in the net that I noticed after the first try on, so I don't know about long term wear...but I am quite sure it will survive at least one afternoon!

Maybe a pic or two tomorrow! Typing on my phone now, which is absurdly annoying,  so no pics atm.
