mandie_rwShockingly, my new gloves arrived this afternoon in my mailbox - so now I've got green gloves! And a green hand, because rubber gloves are for wimps/people who actually think to keep rubber gloves on hand for their occasional dyeing adventures. Will put the leather conditioner on tomorrow, as I want to let them dry overnight.
Wig has been set in curlers and had boiling water poured over them, so hopefully that will be dry tomorrow, or I'm going to have to attack it with the blow dryer. Still have to trim feathers and stick them on the hat.
And I'm just finishing the mantle tonight. I CANNOT WAIT to sew something that I can use real thread on! I've been using the orange weft threads of the fabric to construct the mantle, and it has been...an experience. They're perfectly strong, just incredibly ANNOYING.
