Not-plaid gown blog post, not that I think I said anything more there than I did here over the course of the week I made it.

I've decided to (somewhat) dial down the insanity, and just wear my black 18-teens dress this weekend. I'm close to finishing the neoclassical dress but not that close. No reason the black dress shouldn't fit, and I've only worn it once! Maybe I'll think to actually get some halfway decent pictures of it. (No guarantees.) And I think it's a little more dramatic-looking for a masquerade, anyway. (I'm going to buy a glitter-covered mask from work tomorrow, since I didn't remember in time to order a cheap resin one from China that I could decorate myself! Such fail.)

I still want to see if I can get the neoclassical dress done in the next couple weeks, because I've always wanted to get pictures of it with fall foliage, but we'll see about that. Since I also want to work on something for the Pumpkin Tea! Have decided to go 1790s, wear my white dress, and accessorize. They were all about the wacky accessories in the 90s!

I never got to see the mourning gown, so it will be new to me. And I have a ton of masks if you need one.

That's true! So it really is practically a new dress. ;) And thanks for the offer; I did actually find one at work that I liked though. Amazingly!
