Almost done not-plaid dress!

(I always say I'm almost done and then wind up working on whatever it is for three more days. But I really am almost done!)

Just have to: sew around the last half of the second armscye, finish the back/neck edges, and hem! I think I'm going to do a little facing of wool or linen to hem the skirt...seems to be much less common but a few dresses in Costume in Detail have a facing, so I'm calling it legit. This wool is pretty lightweight so it could use a little bit more substance at the hem. More work, but hey, I've got time. (Amazingly.)

No, the skirt doesn't go over the bodice; I just wanted to show that I really did remember to get my twill tape. ;)

Oh, an yes, I did cut the shoulder straps the opposite way from what I meant to do! Decided to give that a resounding "whatever, I'm not recutting these again" and keep sewing.
