We came up with a highfalutin name for it off-the-cuff (while at the tea), but it's really nice to have a low-key, somewhat-last-minute event to basically dress up and hang out in costume. As you do.

We went to a tea room near [livejournal.com profile] sewloud, which was very nice, with good food and pretty tea things, and a very good variety of tea! I couldn't resist the "pumpkin spice" variety, because it's fall-ish (and winter-ish, for that matter), delicious, and I'm a basic white girl, let's be honest. ;) We'll definitely go back there. After tea we hunted down a local park for some wanderings, because it was really lovely, perfect autumn weather yesterday!

[livejournal.com profile] jennylafleur's dress put us all to shame - that gorgeous delicate lace that I don't think I got a good picture of was just stunning - but I think we made for a very good-looking crowd, regardless. [livejournal.com profile] miss_philomena's friend Sarah flew in for her wedding next weekend (and couldn't very well be abandoned all day), so we had an additional guest who got dressed up and was a very good sport about it all! I think she had a good time...I hope!

[livejournal.com profile] hiraimi made a new dress, Just Because...

...and I made undersleeves, also Just Because. Well, partly because the weather decided it was finally time to bring out a bit of fall, and the temperature peaked in the low 70s, which is both glorious and a valid reason for me to wear light long sleeves.

Too Much Fun at tea.

Sammidges! Which I couldn't finish, because I am a huge failure.

Wanderings in the woods (no petticoats six inches deep in mud, it's been a dry September).

I found a field to run around in - not quite as good as a hill, but I'll take what I can get. I'm not too old to frolic around in regency dress, right? ;) Less athletically-inclined souls planted themselves and played Pokemon Go for a while, til I complained about Young People These Days and Technology, Etc. (Mainly because I have a dumbphone so that gets boring very quickly for me!)

Robin's judging me so hard... xD

And Adrienne worked that silly floppy cap she bought off me!

90% sure I'm pontificating about something here. Look at that arm gesturing.

Line of Regency! Love it.

A big field! I I MUST RUN ACROSS IT. IT IS SUMMONING MEEEEEEE

Flops after running across the field and back twice.

It looked a little cuter from another angle. ;)

Wasn't I going to finish that poor, neglected, almost-finished 1882 cotton print bodice so I can put away all the natural form crap that's still sitting out?? oh, right...

You all look so pretty. Fall is the best time for costume events, not too hot or too cold. And hey, any excuse for a Regency tea party is a good one! :)

Thanks! And I always think the best kind of tea party is 1/ where you're in costume, and 2/ you don't have to clean up afterwards, haha!

And I made way fewer stupid faces for the camera than last event! I'm improving. xD
