bits and pieces

I thought really hard about cleaning up the sewing room today...I did make an effort to start sewing up all those pieces of linen that have been sitting around for months, for aprons for the shop (originally for the IKT, but like I've said, I'm miffed no one wears any of it, so might as well try to make money off it instead!). Although I need to break down and just buy a couple of spools of twill tape from B&T (cotton, because while I'll buy linen for my own things, it's helluva lot more expensive, and the shop crap doesn't deserve it), because that's way cheaper than continuing to buy it from work.

And, amusingly: I sewed the band and crown together on the cap that's been in my IKT workbasket for forever, and it's been so long that I have no idea if I still have the same linen, to use for a ruffle. Hmmmmmm. Have to do some digging...
