May. 25th, 2016 11:57 pmNot a whole lot done today - I lazed about and read some Wilde, and then had a headache-nap on the couch before dinner (unrelated, as far as I know, lol). I did get my box of Millinery Stuff in the mail, so I was motivated to cut out the buckram pieces and zig-zag them together. (I prefer to use heavy weight buckram rather than theatrical, and just cut two layers. This is useful when I want to sandwich horizontal support wires in a wide brim like this! This size really needs the "wagon spokes" to not wimp out.)
I'm making a bonnet for
hiraimiand one for me. She asked for the tall poke style (directly from the pattern, so it better fit together with no issues!), and mine is from the Bo Peep mockup I fussed with for hours the other day. The brims are very similar, but the crowns aren't!

Bo Peep's to the right, poke is the left. I put the "wagon spokes" in after this picture. Next up - wiring the edges of allll the pieces.
