Today I:

- Put the zipper in my plaid skirt. Am wearing it right at this very moment, but will get a picture sometime when it's less wrinkly.

- Sewed about six inches of twill tape onto the inner waist of the pelisse.

- Went to a superbowl party, primarily to help entertain the hostess for a while, as she cares about as much as I do for football. "Who is even playing? Am I supposed to like the horses or the cats?"

- Got home in time for my oldey timey soap. Not as dramatic as last week. I'm pretty sure the season is going to end with Mrs Patmore shanking Daisy, though. Or maybe I'm just going to reach through my tv and do it myself. I also thought the "oh, no one would be interested in paying to see our silly old house, tee-hee!" was a little too wink-wink, nudge-nudge on the nose, but eh. Thomas is going to off himself, isn't he...DON'T TELL ME.

I loved the open house scene. It showed the Crawleys that they really took it all for granted and didn't know anything about the house they lived in. I'm glad they were embarrassed!

So you picked up on Depressed Thomas. I didn't figure it out until it was super really obvs what was happening. The 1920s just wasn't a good time for gay people and the show wasn't going to sugar coat how that might manifest itself for the average (gay) Joe. I haven't given anything away I swear!

The ladies of the house trying to be "tour guides" was SO funny! Talk about taking an amazing piece of history for granted! I mean, I get it, when you're born to that kind of life it seems normal, but still, very funny. I loved the totally unimpressed faces everyone on the tours had on.

I feel so sorry for Thomas...I just wanna give him a hug! And a lot of that is down to the actor; Rob James-Collier should be very pleased with himself! Because, Thomas, you've been pretty much a total asshole to everyone for the 15 or so years you've worked in this house, are you really surprised most of them aren't very nice to you and want you to get the axe first? But I think Rob's done a really good job of letting us see *why* Thomas acts the way he does - not as an excuse, but an explanation.

Seriously! Daisy is just unbearable at this point.
