Distraction!

I looked at the pinned sleeve sitting on my ironing board, thought about it, and decided I'd much rather spend the day mentally costuming everything else in the world instead.

In my defense, I was very productive on that front; I primarily made a mid-1790s dress to go under an also-theoretical open robe, but I also mentally made several things for the shop, and started an early 1890s sporting wardrobe, too.

Soooo productive. xD

Hahaha, I know, right? And then I go to make the actual dress...but I don't have to *finish* it, since it's already done in my head, right?? So bad.

Mental costuming is great : it's fast, and you don't have to pay for fabric ! You don't even have to hunt down your fabric over half the face of the Earth, actually.

Mental costuming is incredibly economical, it's true! And you don't have to worry about the perfect fabric not actually existing (or worse, existing but being laughably out of your price range!). Plus it's great practice to go through the construction of something you might actually make someday, haha. Works out the kinks!
