Finished the green striped/straw bunnit today, will list it tomorrow. And since I felt good about that, I started basting the pelisse bodice pieces. Remember when I was obsessed with green, like, five years ago? (I was definitely not sewing as interesting things as I am now, so probably not.) I am remembering why...I luuuuuurve this fabric. Green is awesome! *pet pet pet*
(Although I am not entirely secure in saying it's a totally period shade of green for a c1812-15 pelisse. It's definitely not the arsenic "emerald" green that became so popular a few years later; that seems to be a totally different shade. Apparently there is a reference to "bottle green" as a shade of green in the 1790s, which this maybe could be classified as? Not that I really care that much, obviously. Just sayin'! ...we're going to call it bottle green, then, hee hee.)
