And then I actually remembered that I said I'd give you the link to my etsy shop. It's got two hat-things in it right now (very impressive) because I'm an easily distracted and slow sewer. Also a few old bits and pieces from the costume closet, that I hasten to add I wouldn't expect anyone here to buy because YOU GUYS HAVE STANDARDS. They're very old bits and pieces... :P The hat and cap are all right, though.

I called it Cloth Fair because I'm horrible terrible awful at thinking up names for things (I first seriously considered trying to sell a few things for pocket money at least 6 months ago, but couldn't come up with a not-completely-stupid name, so gave up in despair), Cloth Fair being both the name of an old London street that, once upon a time sold cloth, and a play on the term for clothing/costume as cloth - so it's Pretty Costumes, geddit??

*sad trombone*

Well, I couldn't very well call it Crappy Old Costumes And Maybe Hats And Some Other Random Accessories If I Can Get My Shit Together, could I? Too long. And 18thc-entury-milliner-esque Sign of the Whooziewotsis or Whatever is already taken by several persons of note (plus, again, see the Clever Naming Problem. Sign of the Dodgy Hat??).

So, after several thousand disclaimers...uh, tell your friends??

See, I love "Crappy Old Costumes And Maybe Hats And Some Other Random Accessories If I Can Get My Shit Together" You really whiffed that one. Now I'm going to steal it and make a fortune. MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I totally get the making up a name-- it's SO HARD. Everything seems pathetic or pretentious or stupid. I think Cloth Fair sounds nice! The fact it was an old London street is really cool!

Now go fill up that shop and $$$$!!

LOL. Damn, I knew I should've kept that brilliant name to myself!

I figured it was short and to the point - I know I can't remember long shop names myself, because I'm an idiot, and I assume most other people are idiots too. xD

I'm terrible at coming up with names, too! That's why my shop is "The Millineress" and not something prettier. (Even though I have yet to sell a single hat on my etsy. XP)
I totally love "Sign of the Dodgy Hat".

Seriously, coming up with names is the worst! It makes me feel like such a dingbat. LOL, the Dodgy Hat is getting enough votes to make me almost wish I'd thought that up before! xD

"The Sign of the Dodgy Hat" would actually be a great name imo.

I am surprised at the amount of support The Dodgy Hat is getting...too funny! I bet it's too long for an official shop name...maybe it can be an unofficial official name, haha.
