I swore I wasn't going to bed until I'd finished this - it's what I've been working on all day, and I was determined to post that I'd accomplished something today!
Started this bonnet last year - it was meant for last year's Pumpkin Tea, actually. The frame's from Timely Tresses, the figured taffeta is from Renaissance Fabrics, and the orange silk is from the scrap bin! I pulled it out again day before yesterday; I'd only covered the top of the crown when I worked on it last year. Up til now, I've only had the one Regency bonnet - it's fine for warm-weather outfits, being straw, but it really doesn't go with my wool jumper.
But here it is, modeled by Disembodied Head No.1!

And without flash.

I'd thought I'd be done earlier, but I'd hemmed the orange taffeta, attached the feathers, and wrapped the ties around - when I realized it needed something else. Hmmm. How about a doofy little bow at the back to fill up that blank space? Yes, perfect. Now - go hem some more taffeta. GROAN.
Occupational hazard of depending on the scrap bin for your hat trimmings...but it is done, it is posted, and I am going to bed!
