And now it looks like a corset

I sewed the corset together today with only a minimum of stupidity; I had to pick out and resew one of the back hip gussets because it just looked that bad, and I managed to sew one of the front pieces to the side pieces backwards. So, all in all, I've done worse.

I also decided that I'm going to be a weenie and use the ubiquitous cable ties instead of steel (mainly because, money, blah), so I went ahead and sewed in the back piece. Metal eyelets are up next, but since I feel it might be rude to bang on the floor at ten at night (we have neighbors downstairs...), I think I'm done for the night.

But here's a half of the corset so far!

Thank you! They're much less of a PITA than they look like they'd be, and I always think they give a better shape with less effort...with my not-exactly-Victorian-ideal-figure, I look for all the help I can get! :D
