mandie_rwSo, what's up next in sewing-land? Besides the dress for the Titanic exhibit, which is not the highest on my want-to-sew list, since I've already done it ten times over in my head - but that's what I need next so that's what it is.
After that though - I'm going to try and get my dress for the Regency card party done for the next HSF challenge. It's going to be made from the green silk sari with a gold boarder that I've had for a while, and I cut and sewed the skirt panels a while ago (November, I think) so it counts as a UFO. I'm basing it on a 1817-19 dress in Costume in Detail.
I got my silk in the mail today, and if I have time I'd like to make the mantle to go with the expensive sack as well, to bring to the card party. If not that's fine, but it'll match so I'd like to if I can!
With/without flash - and the cream taffeta for the petticoat for the expensive sack's on the left. That's really what I want to be working on!
