Day off = sewing!

And watching Pride & Prejudice for the thousandth time while doing so! Got a very respectable amount done on the pompom outfit; all I have left to to on the basic dress is attach/hem the drop-front piece and then hem the thing.
And put on the pompoms, of course!

Who's excited for no sleeves?? I'm picking away at the neck and wrist ruffles for the shirt on the brief train ride in the morning and sometimes evening (when I'm not dozing!).
Well, yes, the spencer will have sleeves! I know I won't have enough energy to get that draped and fitted until next Sunday, which is my next day off, ugh (unless I have an exhaustion-induced breakdown, which doesn't seem entirely improbable, considering I've been existing on Tootsie Rolls for twelve hours a day while constantly running. I recommend Pierre's at Halloween for anybody that wants to lose weight unhealthily!). Hopefully I can manage to finish the dress before then...
And as soon as I get off here, I'm going to buy a bonnet form from Timely Tresses to go with the dress. I was waffling between spending the money for a bonnet and trying to make a turban work - but dammit, I want a new bonnet! I love their patterns, but I've come to the realization I'd much rather pay them for the bonnet form than spend the time putting it together myself! I like covering bonnets, but putting the form together I can do without.
Plus I'm nearly out of buckram anyway. It's worth the money to save me the trouble. :P
