Fairmount Regency outing, Aug. 4

Okay, Those Of You That Said You Were Interested...(hopefully there are still some of you! If not I could have restricted this to a text to
rose_bertin)...I've come up with a Plan for the day that hopefully meets with your approval.
- First, meet up at Mount Pleasant (one of the houses in the park), and either tour it first and then picnic, or vice versa. Depends on what food we bring, how hot it is, whether they mind us picnicking on their lawn, &tc. I think it's probably best to limit it to sweets and appetizer-types, that's less trouble for everyone! If we meet at noon that gives us five hours to tour the three houses I have in mind, picnic, and tour the waterworks before they close.
- After Mount Pleasant, go to Laurel Hill, which is the closest, and then Lemon Hill, which is on the same side of the river.
- Then on to tour the Water Works! After that, we can grab some dinner if everyone likes. I did look at the Water Works Restaurant, which appears to be a nice place, but there's also a diner about ten minutes' walk from the Water Works that looks decent - I've never been to it, but it would be considerably cheaper and then we wouldn't have to worry about making a reservation at the water works place (which we'd have to do, because Saturday night! Nice restaurant! View of the river!).
So, let me know who's still planning on coming! :)
