The music was excellent, the place wasn't too godawfully hot, and I got pictures!
And the ladies' association in charge of the house might have gotten me to fill out a volunteer form! Well, God knows they could use some new dresses, the poor things. (I don't know if they're quite sure what they're getting with me; I will not make you more horrible poly zippered colonial dresses, no I will not!)
There were about 60 people in attendance (which is just about all the place could fit!), and the Dolce Suono ensemble played, with just three of its members - flute, cello, and harp. And they were really really good! They played a nice assortment of pieces, from Bach on up to mid-twentieth century.
The house actually is air-conditioned, but with 60+ people sitting practically on top of each other...I was glad I had my fan!
Recruited mum to snap a few shots of me during intermission, before it got too dark...I only got one dodgy picture of the inside of the house, which is a shame as it's very nice - but as we know, my camera + dim lighting = not so good.

And then, lots of me prancing about!

There was a good breeze, so I'm fairly inflated in every picture!

If only I wasn't making such an awful face in this one, it would be really nice!

Me gesturing to the oh-so-period highway!

Pretty bright over by the gazebo. Note the very attractive lawn furniture.

Side and front of the house...

My house! Don't I wish...

Roses!

Other fun things I found in the garden: an enormous fake snake, and a car lurking under a willow tree. (I suppose it's the caretaker's, but it was just so funny to duck into what looks like a pretty bower and see...a car. Umm, okay!)

Back of the house, with the view of the Schuylkill River.

Okay, I do like Regency! :) The dress floating everywhere was pretty entertaining, I must admit.
