1840s

Hey, I actually Sewed Things today! Told you I would. (Yes, I'm surprised too.) When I wasn't at the historical society, watching the longest tour ever. And no, not done the training yet. Gotta watch another group, and give a tour to one of the directors first. Then can I wear silly clothes and give tours?

But I did come home and sew, for hours and hours on the 1844 corset. I decided, when first making it ages ago, that the cording on the seams needed to be put in by hand. And this takes OMFG FOREVER. I got three sewn, I think, this afternoon and evening. Not good for instant gratification. But I really gotta stop bouncing around to a million projects, or I'll never finish the 1840s undies so I can make the dress.

The undies...aha! Light-bulb! I can start the corded petticoat!

So I did! Instant gratification! Well...okay, not quite instant. I've got two rows of cording sewn in. Still, a little more instant than the corset! Which I will have to finish eventually, I know. I'm using the totally not printed, what? ivory linen I just got for the petticoat, so that's one less thing to try and fit in the Stash. Always a good thing.

Also: I just ate a block of cheese. To add to the "accomplished" mood. Om nom nom. (Can't understand what Keef's got against it...Cheese, not accomplishment.)
