Is finished, but I'm not sure I like it all that much!
(Also known as OH MAH GAWD, LJ is actually WORKING NOW??? It's been eating my posts all night, and finally decided to cough this one up. It must have known I was cruising Dreamwidth.)
It's not really the pattern; I used La Fleur de Lyse's Mid 18th Century Caps pattern (I made the "Sophie" cap, which in the cover drawing is second from the bottom), and it went together very easily; if I weren't a lazy, lazy sewer at the moment, it would be a one-day project. Made it of leftover lightweight linen from another project, and sewed it with silk thread, which I'm only mentioning because I loooove that silk thread. It's old - not past its expiration date, though! - and I only have the one spool of white, because someone I sewed a bit with in high school left it at my house and I never gave it back. It's far smoother than the silk thread I can get in Joann's.
Anyway.

Wait, so it still ate half the post. Bitchface icon is still appropriate.

Post-work getup + intuition that LJ is going to be an asshat tonight + sneaking suspicion this cap is stupid = bitchfacing here as well.
But making caps is only rated a few point higher than shifts on my list of Costume Pieces I Actually Want to Make, so... *sulks*
