Round gown

I cut out all the pieces for the round gown cut out tonight, and fixed the panels I screwed up cutting. Hopefully. If not, I'll have to piece the front panel. Oh well -- PIECING IS PERIOD! I wanted to line the bodice in linen, but I apparently don't have any spare white linen. Cotton it is.
And I thought about machine sewing it, but I couldn't find an empty bobbin, and so took it as a sign I do want to hand sew this! I'll probably wish I'd decided otherwise halfway through, but I always do that.
I actually got most of the bodice sewn together -- no one is more surprised at that than I. 18thc construction techniques really are pretty quick! (Thank you, Costume Close-Up.)
