Wedding Sampler progress
Feb. 20th, 2011 01:03 amWell, I probably don't need to say that there is no way this bastard is going to be done in time for the wedding, but I shall keep plugging away at it! Going to be the best wedding gift ever...a card with a note inside saying SORRY UR PRESENT ISN'T DONE YET LOLZ I AM SLOW. Possibly also adding something in there about how I could have given them a bit of cash as well but I spent it all on fabric for myself, oops. So they'll just have to wait. They have ME in the wedding party, what MORE could they want?!
*cackle*
And it's going to be a dry wedding. O Lawd.
Anyway, progress! And I do like doing these samplers, but I cannot count and therefore am always cursing and picking out stitches. Maybe that's why it's taking so long...

Perhaps next week, the angel at the top will have ceased to look like a little bald man. Or perhaps not. Since I know I can't finish it in time for the wedding, I might let myself do some sewing.

Date: 2011-02-20 06:17 am (UTC)Who the fuck has a dry wedding? The entire point of a wedding is for the bride to indulge her inner dictator and everyone else drinks and spends a lot of time with people they don't like. And then on the way home everyone judges everyone elses outfits. Duh.

Date: 2011-02-21 05:22 am (UTC)And those are PRECISELY my sentiments, hehe! They're rather religious and don't believe in overindulgence in booze. (She's been one of my best friends for near twenty years and I love her to death...but clearly I'm not exactly on the same page, there!) Somewhat hilariously, even the bride has said that half the family is going to be pregaming in the parking lot since the wedding is dry. And her younger sister who's also a bridesmaid said we'll have to sneak tiny bottles in in our purses. I'm...not sure if she's kidding!
But clearly, the whole point of a dry wedding is going to be defeated! Minus them paying for any of it, I guess. :P
