I wear funny clothes, part 4

I went to a job fair this morning; that was FUN. So I got me all dress-ed up.

It's a thrift store special! (Like the rest of my outfits aren't.)
Sweater and Skirt: Village Thrift
Shoes: Payless
Cat: Just decided he wanted to be in the picture three seconds before the timer went off. Which explains the WTF face I'm making.
Said job fair did have a lot of employers and companies there, but there were also a thousand people there. Felt like it, anyway. I only ended up staying about three-quarters of an hour, because I couldn't take the mass of people any more. And I usually don't have a problem with crowds!
Also went to said favorite thrift store (Village Thrift) this afternoon; wanted to get some more black tops/trousers/skirts/whatever, because I'll have to wear all black when work starts up. And really, I can't have too much black in me wardrobe. Well, I guess I could... (funny little thing, aren't I? I enjoy wearing insanely obnoxious colors and prints, and I also enjoy simplistic black outfits. Inner emo kid?) Anyway, I haven't been there for quite a while, and they've really redone it. Nearly fell over when I walked in. It used to be dingy, and a little dirty, and smell weird, and full of the weirdest stuff you've ever seen -- some of it good, a lot of it extremely dubious. And a huge mess to boot.
Now they've painted the place, organized the stuff, and put in a carpet. The hell? And upped the prices, of course. But it's still not too bad; mostly cheaper than Goodwill or at least on a par with their prices. And I had ten thousand kinds of fits when I found they'd done away with the endless bins of records. THIS WAS MY PLACE TO GET ALBUMS FOR A QUARTER, DAMN YOU. Eventually found a couple of baskets of the records, up by the registers, but not nearly as many. And it was all Barry Manilow and Englebert Humperdinck. *scowl* Dammit, asshats, I used to be able to find Byrds, Moody Blues, Tom Petty...and one time, the soundtrack to An American Tail. (Used to take that VHS tape out from the library alllllll the time. )
Still, I was slightly mollified because I got two sweaters, a pair of pants (LEATHER, PEOPLE...laugh if you want, but I will totally wear them, and they were $1.90), a J Crew dress, and a pair of black knee-length boots (YAY BOOTS! I have a thing for boots, if you haven't noticed) for $20.
And yes, it'll all probably feature at one point or another in these clotheshorse posts! ;)
