Striped 1947 dress

Finished the black and white striped 1947 Butterick Retro pattern tonight. Hours ago, actually, but I've been babbling on AIM with
cutothechase for hours about our favorite obsessions, so I forgot to post about it. I haven't made the jacket yet...I meant to cut that out tonight, but got distracted while talking to three people online at once and texting one, trying to figure out Labor Day weekend plans! We make everything so difficult...
Hopefully I can get that jacket cut out tomorrow -- if I don't get distracted by something else!
List of Doooom update:
- 1950s print voile dress that needs to be hemmed and have the belt put together
- Burda 1960s-style blue and pink mini-dress that needs a zipper and a hem
- striped 1940s dress from another Butterick Retro pattern I've got that needs to be taken in so I'll actually wear it
- same for a black & white 50s dress
- early 1960s-style plaid silk dress, currently hidden in a bag because I sewed the sleeves on backwards, so it got shoved away in disgust a couple months ago
- 1947 Butterick Retroblack & white striped dress and black jacket: finish dress, start jacket

Date: 2010-09-03 03:02 pm (UTC)I'm thinking about digging out my Folkwear Blonde Bombshell and redoing it (the top needs serious altering to look right). I also have some pink cotton with cherries all over it that I think it would look really cute.

Date: 2010-09-03 09:00 pm (UTC)And yup, good call, it's 5214! (Scarily, I realized that I own every single Butterick Retro pattern in their current catalog, except ONE. Overachiever, much?) And the voile is Vintage Vogue 1043.
Oooh, yes! I'm really a sucker for vintage clothes -- obviously. I love cherry prints, they're so cute. =D
