See? Rug. Yay!
And a couple other pictures of my newly painted room (which I did not take, so the weird tilt of the pictures? Not my fault, hah):

Those stencils on the top half took about sixteen hours for me to do...I love how they look, but wow, that was tedious. And they're wobbly at the top because I couldn't quite reach up there, even standing on a chair!

Today I think I found all the rest of my sewing things in bags, including the quilt squares (more's the pity). And I realized that, besides having too much fabric (yeah, and buying 23 yards of fabric helps that problem how?), I have too many things in bags. Most of them are bits of unfinished projects I've wandered away from.

In an effort to cull the Bag Problem, I actually threw away a couple of things...only a couple, and I saved the bigger pieces of fabric from them, but still. They're so old, I was working on and gave up on them before I had a LJ, so no one will miss them, including me, probably. Also, in one of those bags that I was waffling on whether to chuck, I found a Large and Dead BUG EW EW EW okay FINE I'll throw it AWAY GOD. It was lost of fun. Okay, I only ended up gettting rid of two bags, but every little bit helps.

Plus I also dug out a 1940s Vintage Vogue dress that I'd cut out the pattern pieces to, and then stuffed in a bag...why? I suppose I got angry at it for some reason, but I've got no idea why now. So I worked on that today, and got it about half done. Hopefully my attention won't wander, and I can finish it tomorrow. And cut out more flannel squares for the Damn Quilt, of course, so I can bring them on the bus on Monday. Joy.
