I've been poking away at the striped 1780s dress, a little bit every day (except yesterday, very busy writing haha), and the skirt is now entirely pleated and sewn on.

So, next step is sleeves; the lower half is sewn on, and the tops are pinned. My guess is that I already fitted them, but since the last time I worked on this dress was in 2015...I'm going to try it on and double-check that! And then, of course, sew the silk shoulder pieces on. The snag is, where ARE those shoulder pieces?? They don't seem to have been in the bag with the rest of the dress, and there were exactly zero scrap pieces left over.

As I said...hmmmmmmmmm. I'll go on a Sewing Room Search tomorrow in the daylight when I can at least halfway heat the sewing room; right now it's far too cold for that. If I don't find them? Well I suppose I'll have to find some new lacing for the 1770s stays! Not the end of the world.

Just annoying, because I want to sew RIGHT NOW, and that was by far the most likely candidate! What to occupy myself with now, hrm hrm.

All those pleats and stripy bits look delicious.
