I haven't worked on the painted petti, but I'm off tomorrow so plan to devote a good chunk of time to it then! Today I did a decent chunk of binding on the mantle, although I annoyingly ran out of binding just over halfway around and will have to make more. Ugh. Damn binding! Also finally picked out what color marabou I wanted to trim the thing, what color drabs I want on my bonnet, and two different type of wings for my 1890s hat (because I wasn't sure which I wanted and they weren't very specific with the measurement for the duck wings. Hooray for the late Victorian penchant for Dead Things On Hats..?). ALL the feathers!

(And yes, I do make sure I buy from a company that uses byproducts of other industries, I'm not that into Victorian-kill-all-the-things-just-cause-we-can!)

Also bought plaid ribbon for my New Castle bonnet from jubilima's shop...so I really do have to make said bonnet, because buying that pretty ribbon and not using it would be absolutely criminal! ;)
