mandie_rwSo I didn't actually start working on my bonnet til around 10pm tonight, oops. Got a little caught up in another project. Still intend to get the bonnet all covered tonight, though the curtain might have to wait til tomorrow.
I think I might've made another remarkably twee bonnet, but perhaps this one will be bearable. We'll see! I originally wanted to use the last of my yellow taffeta scraps, but didn't have enough to do the underside of the brim or the curtain, and this bonnet is late enough in date that I really wanted a curtain on it. So I used a peachy-pink machine made dupioni instead, which I like very much but might be a bit much on a bonnet this size. And I managed to use the most pathetic flannel in the world, as when the bonnet's backlit you can see the dark stitching in the buckram. Oops.
