After all my scheming for my Remembrance Day wardrobe, I'm not certain now that I want to make anything new. Apart from finishing what I've already started, anyway. (Wrapper, paletot, et cetera) Not sure how much of that is because I got up today in a mood that has not dissipated. Whether it's that or not, I think I won't spend two hundred dollars on fabric for it just yet.
So Fort Fred seems like a much better idea to concentrate my costuming energies on at the moment. Brunswick, hello! You love me, anyway, don't you, 18th century?
Did I mention that this fabric is actually a duvet cover? Because it's a duvet cover. And pillow set, from Ikea, that I believe is discontinued now. Thanks ebay! Of course that meant I had to unpick everything - I can safely say that Ikea constructs their duvet covers rather well. But I did that this afternoon, and tore the panels for the petticoat. We'll start with the easiest part!
