mandie_rwIt looks like a demented pirate hat, actually. But it will definitely liven up my outfit! I admit it's completely ridiculous, but this page is full of completely ridiculous 1913-15 hats (thanks to ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
jenthompson for that link!), and I wanted one. Now I've got one!
My box o'feathers came in the mail today...along with my box o'cheap silk, and box o'Regency-ballgown-from-reine_de_coudre. It was a most excellent mail day! Anyway, since I had the feathers, I thought I ought to get cracking on my hat, seeing as HI EVENT COMING UP. And it didn't take me long at all, just an afternoon to chop down the brim, wire it, and decide what crap to stick on it. (Rooster feathers. A lot of rooster feathers.)

Yes, you need to see it FROM EVERY SIDE. It's different every way!
And the hat I was inspired by...I like the wacky tricorn-pointy-bit, what can I say. I originally tried making my hat more vertically inclined, like hers, but the floppy felt was not impressed with that idea. I think it looks marginally less stupid on my head than the styrofoam one, for the record.
Now...to work on the jacket mockup or make the waistband for the petticoat? Decisions!
