Today I did manage to sew a few things!
First, I was very good and actually repaired my striped petticoat. I left it out after Fort Fred so I would fix the Mysterious Hole, otherwise I'd put it away and completely forget til next time I wanted to wear it. I hate darning holes (as my two pairs of socks still waiting to be darned can attest), so this was a Very Important Accomplishment. Now the dress really feels "lived in". *snort*
Then I went to sew the pieces of Jessica's Regency bonnet together - but I apparently cut out the wrong size for one of the pieces, so that was discouraging and I put it aside. Derp. (It didn't help that I may need to buy more buckram to cut that piece out. Procrastination!)
So I cut out all the pieces for my teens skirt and blouse mockup and sewed most of them together. The Ugly Blouse pattern was, predictably, very ugly and way too large. Extra-small in what world?? I have to try it all on with the corset tomorrow.
