mandie_rwOkay! Hmm...what's the most useless costuming thing I can work on that's stupid easy? I know - let's make knitted garters for Remembrance Day weekend!
Let me tell you, that picture does not do that particular shade of orange justice. It's...pretty horrible, actually. I've gotten rid of most of the yarn I had just laying around, and this orange was the only wool, anyway. I'm really, really not a knitter - I have three sets of needles, very little yarn, and am too lazy to practice so as to get better at it. Although I did have a knitting tag on here, fancy that. Both the weight of this yarn and the needle size I'm using are less than ideal - if I were going to make a habit of knitted garters I'd buy smaller needles - but, no.
With any luck I'll stay focused enough to finish this garter tonight and do the other one tomorrow, and then I'll actually have to work on something I need. Distraction!
