Finished! And photographed, so it counts as finished!
Which is all that really matters; as the internet says, pics or it didn't happen.

Mabel does not squish like I do, so she doesn't really fit in the waistcoat. It closes on me, though! And no, I will not be using wildly mismatched green poly ribbon to close the waistcoat when I actually wear it! The fabric's in the mail - red silk.

And despite the ridiculous poofiness it gave to the hem before penny insertion, I have nothing but nice things to say about silk taffeta and how it behaves in the back pleats of this style! Loooove.

Trim-trim-trim-trim. And it's not even elaborate trim or a full-length gown!

And the waistcoat.

...which I feel the compulsive need to explain that It's Not A Very Fitted Garment and Isn't Worn Over Stays, That's Why It's So Wrinkly, Not Because I Can't Fit Things. Also the whole dress-dummy-is-fat thing.
