But it's one thing to check off the Fort Fred list...almost, as it's not quite finished. My new shift, that is. My first linen shift, actually. (oooh how exciting. *deadpans*) I started it almost a year ago, I think, and finally found it last night, after digging through the ridiculous amount of unfinished projects I've got. (After Dress U, I think I really need to address that pile! Piles, really.)

I'd remembered it as half finished, which was kind of a generous estimation - all I'd done was sew the shoulder seams. Hmm. But it's all sewn now, after hours and hours of looking at white linen and many many albums. Except for hemming the neck, but that won't take long, so I'm quite sure I can finish it tomorrow.

Then I still need to trim my hats and make those mitts, since the forecast appears to be Not All That Warm. Maybe I will be giving the cranberry wool another wearing this season...

My experience with Ft. Fred is the weather can go either way. And by either way I mean freezing cold and raining or hot and sweltering. Pack accordingly.

I do wish I could go, but alas, I cannot afford to take the time and spend the money (which is sad, because I live close to 81 and it would take me about the same time to get there as it does to NJ). Maybe next year.

Yeah, right now we're apparently leaning towards the freezing cold and raining end of the spectrum! Wool, cloak-age, and mitts are being packed!

Hope you can make it next year - I'll have basically zero spending money for the actual market, but I have enough to get down there/stay over, and getting to dress up and see friends is the best part, anyway. :)

I hope it warms up, I was looking forward to breaking out the spring wear. What are your plans for next weekend, are you still planning to stay overnight?

So was I! The forecast right now, of course, sucks. Wool and cloaks! :P

And yep, still planning to stay over Saturday night...you still in for sharing a room? If so, I was thinking maybe we could drive down together as well...

That would be great, where did you want to stay, I know that some places along the highway can be shady, but there is a nice place in Shippensburg, which is about an hour away, but along our route home. Where did you want to meet? What time?

Oh, if you know of a decent place to stay then let's go with that...I was just going to try my luck with a random place but that sounds like a better plan!

And I thought we could meet at your place, as you're definitely closer than I am to Fort Fred! Not sure how long exactly it takes to get from there to Fort Fred...but I guess whatever disgustingly early time will let us be down there by 10:30 or so. (Ugh, I'm going to be getting up very early that morning aren't I!)
