mala_14 posted about an excellent New Look suit pattern that she's planning on making, from a vintage pattern (Advance 5944), and I got instant grabby hands, because despite my disturbingly vast vintage reprint pattern collection, I still hadn't t found my ideal suit pattern (I have a VISION, you guys. It also involves green wool... *audience groans*) This one might be it, though.
Okay, potentially the pockets aren't exactly what I want. That's easily tweaked, though. Everything else is finally exactly what I want! I think.
So off I trotted to The Great Internet, and found a few very expensive copies, and one reasonably-priced copy, in a just-half-size too big (I'm at the point where my ass is two sizes bigger than my bust, eesh, so saying a half-size is splitting the difference...the fitted skirt should actually fit at the hip and be too big in the bust). Clearly, meant to be!
No timeframe for needing this, so who knows when it'll happen! But provided USPS doesn't accidentally send it to New Hampshire instead, I should have my hot little hands on the pattern some time after Christmas.
