chintz dress: not quiiiite done
Mar. 12th, 2017 10:46 pmWell, I got the skirt lengthened and the sleeves made up and halfway sewn on...but I need to check the fit before I sew the top half down, and while I don't need to put stays on for that, I do need to be able to fit my arms through the armholes, which I can't do with this big fat wool sweater on! And right now I refuse to do that. So...that'll get done tomorrow.
I started sewing the back panel for the petticoat instead; I managed to cut the front of the petti out of one piece, but that meant the back needed a bit of piecing to make sure there's enough width in the skirt. No problem, all running stitches, very easy! I'll probably get that back panel all done before bed tonight.
