chintz dress: skirt progress

I have not had a particularly large amount of fun sewing the skirt to the bodice. The fabric's very tightly woven cotton (unsurprising as it's basically a sheet), and going through a bunch of multiple folds has kind of sucked! Many thumb-stabbings, cursing, etc. And I've bent the shit out of this needle! But the skirt is now attached, yay.

I was off today but that's all the sewing I did, as I had boring paperworky things to do, like taxes. I think I can get basic dress construction done by the end of the day Sunday, though. That's my next day off and I don't think I have any other commitments besides sew!
