Oct. 13th, 2015 11:59 pmSO the cabin slippers are technically finished, but as I decided to glue the paper insoles in, and I don't want to glue my slippers to my feet inadvertently...pics can wait, haha.
Instead, have a horrible picture of a length of red and green wool plaid I bought to make a turn-of-the-century shirtwaist (no, not til after Gettysburg, don't worry!). You really can't tell, but it's the most Christmassy thing EVER. After searching many many sites, I discovered that shirtwaist-appropriate plaid wools are very scarce, so when I found this one I snapped it up. It faintly smells like an old person's house, and is now covered in rabbit fur (like everything else in this house).
