Jul. 15th, 2015 11:43 pmToday! Sewed the rest of the binding on the buckram bonnet pieces, and got half of them sewn together. This is the boringest part of making bonnnets...
Also did a nice bit on the Lost Hope dress: finished my second spangling of the navy silk, so that's done, bar finding a couple of empty spots that need a few more sequins. Now it just has to dry...for probably a week, because it's SO humid! I mocked up the bodice too, which didn't take all that long (used the pompom jumper bodice with a few tweaks), and cut the skirt panels out of the striped shot. The train's kind of excessive at the moment but I didn't want to cut it too short! There are a couple of snags in the fabric (I may end up needing to face the hem of the train so it doesn't get completely destroyed) that I'm not worrying about...snags are, uh, very fairylike! Heh.
