Pink petticoat done
Dec. 28th, 2013 11:59 pmI finished the pink wool/cotton petticoat today - woo! Doesn't look like much on Mabel, especially since her bust is a bit too low - but you get the idea. It's a plain old petticoat, that's the idea!
It pins shut on one side, and the straps pin to the waistband in the front. Purposely, not because I'm too lazy to put closures on! I may want to wear the undress outfit without stays (scandalously), so having adjustable straps will be helpful for that.
Tomorrow I think I can get the pieces of the half-robe cut out before work. I'm going to use my basic Regency bodice pattern with just a very little bit of tweaking, so I'm going to make it up as I go along, no mockups or anything. Except for sleeves, because I don't think I have any that will work for this. So, fine, will do sleeve mockups at some point.
