1880 cotton dress - underskirt

Sewing Day in PA today, as I mentioned - such a beautiful day I felt like I should've been doing something outdoors, but the last time I went outside and did a bit of gardening, I got a bit of a rash that I still haven't gotten rid of. Nasty outdoors. The room we were sewing in had all the windows open and a very nice cross-breeze...good enough.

Anyway, everyone at Sewing Day managed to get a nice lot of work done, except me, of course, because I'm slow. And do skirt decorations that apparently qualify as insane. I didn't realize box pleats out of plain green cotton counted as insane, but I bow to the superior judgement of my associates! :D

And the dress I'm basing mine on - because I realized I never did post it, and thus no one could quite figure out WTF I was doing with my skirt til I really got going on it.

Once I get off LJ and do a Blogger update, I'm going back to the underskirt to see how much more I can sew tonight. *flop* Can't waste my day off!
