(no subject)

Preparing for Hurricane Sandy - by which I mean not setting my alarm for work tomorrow, because PATCO trains (along with all SEPTA and NJ Transit service) aren't running tomorrow so I can get into Philly. Technically speaking I could drive in, but I don't like driving in the city at the best of times, and when it's hurricane-ing is not the best of times! (Plus I don't think they realize at work that I do have a car, since I take the train all the time, so no train service is a completely valid excuse.)

I didn't get nearly as much done on the pompom dress as I should have, partly because of accidental laziness, and then deliberate laziness after I checked the train schedules! Got the body of the spencer draped on Mabel before dinner, and then watched It on telly, and then somehow it was almost midnight, oops.

Well, I've been granted an extra sewing day (at least one, depending on how bad the storm turns out), so, electricity or not, I'll be doing some more sewing tomorrow! Electricity would be ideal, since this is Regency and I cheat a little with some machine sewing in Regency...but I think I can find some hand sewing to keep myself occupied. ;)
