Skating costume musings
Sep. 3rd, 2012 09:50 pmIn the interests of not finishing anything, ever...
I realized today's the last day for fabric.com's Labor Day sale, and since I knew they still had some $5/yd wool, I decided to poke around and see if I could find anything for the skating dress. No red, but I did come across a quite decent textured navy, which hopefully will work as I don't like having to send back fabric! (Well, there's no way it's as ugly as that FFC stuff, so relatively I'm sure it'll seem beautiful.)
And because apparently I'm really dying to buy myself another bin to store my wool fabric in, I also bought some of this zig-zag wool, because I think it would make a wicked cool Victorian! (And yes, I know how broad a spectrum that is! I really do think it would be good for anything 1840-90s! Unless I just got carried away with the zig-zags. We'll see when it gets here.)
Well, really I just wanted the 20% off my order. The zig-zags did jump out at me though!
( And I think I've finally decided on my skating outfit. Probably )
It's a good thing I didn't plan to have the pink dress done for Belvidere (really! I didn't!), because no way that's happening! I'm such a bum.
Oh, I did find my hairpieces though, so that counts as doing something! It does; they've been MIA since I moved back home, along with my hatpins. Both of which I'm going to need for Saturday! Found them both in a bag of unfinished projects they had no business whatsoever being in...what idiot put them there?
(Yes, me.)
