Sew-a-thon tonight!
Mar. 8th, 2008 04:03 pmTonight I'm going over A.'s house to sleep over and we're going to be all crafty and stuff. She's going to be working on a quilt, and I've decided to see how much of an 18thc. gown I can get done at one stretch...hand-sewing and all. I plan to work on A.'s Bastille Day dress, which will be made of peach/white striped cotton. And I'm making it for her because I know she's had a lot of stuff going on in her life lately, and won't have a lot of time to costume-make in the next few months. I'm gifting the fabric for the same reason, and also because I have SO many plans and fabric for 18thc frocks, that I'll never be able to make them all. And it's better to let one of my bestest friends play dress up in it than let the fabric moulder away in the Stash for who-knows-how-long 'til I finally get around to using it. That's what I figure anyway. :)
